Disney Gets Their Guy
A new restaurant is coming to Disney World, and it’s sure to set the theme park on Fieri. Chicken Guy! is planned to open in August of this year at Disney Springs, formally known as Downtown Disney. The restaurant will join the likes of other unique eateries such as Earl of Sandwich and Wolfgang Puck Express.
Disney has dont a magnificent job attracting business to its version of a Main Street strip. Already with dozens of restaurants, a dine-in movie theater, a bowling alley, and a House of Blues, adding a Guy Fieri inspired restaurant will only increase their business even more.
Set to be Guy’s eighteenth different restaurant, Chicken Guy! at Disney’s Springs just adds on to the long list of accomplishments for the chef, restaurateur, and Food Network host.
The new restaurant looks to have an inticing menu full of unique creations. Often considered the safest choice at an unfamiliar restauran, chicken tenders is reported to be the theme and they’ll come fried or grilled or even as a sandwich. Twenty two different sauces will be available to dip the juicy tenders in. Even the pickiest of eaters should be able to find one to their liking. This is a fantastic idea as the main staple is very Guy-Fieri-like and I can’t say I’ve ever been to a restaurant where it was the the promoted food. However, with it being Disney owned, I worry about the pricing as Disney is known to overcharge. Will three tenders be $10? Will a sauce cost an extra $2? Such ridiculous prices can be expected but we’ll find out within a month.
With Disney Springs being only about an hour away from me, I’ll definitely have to go try it before I return to Gainesville. Post in the comments what your thoughts are on the addition and if it will make you more likely to visit Disney Springs.
