I may attend school in Gainesville, but I was born and raised right here in Volusia County. Port Orange has been my home for the past twenty-one years. I’ve seen the eastern side of Volusia develop more and more over the years. Chain restaurants were opening up by the dozens each year, and I constantly found myself eating at those establishments. However, I noticed there were a lot of local restaurants I was passing up, mainly because I was afraid the food might not be as tasty.
